Event Description

Award-winning SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Community Arts) present "DRAGON" - a carnival-theatre spectacular : this family show brings to life Merlin the Magician's ancient prophecy through a heady mix of worldwide CARNIVAL influences.

The flamboyantly costumed 50 -strong cast passionately combine carnival dancing, drumming and chanting with
· Acrobatic jumping-stilts action
· West African and Caribbean rhythms interwoven with funky brass melodies
· Brazilian capoeira martial arts dancers' graceful moves
· Feather head-dressed thong-slinging Rio samba dancers
and more...

So as Celtic RED Dragon Tribe and Saxon WHITE Dragon Tribe fight it out for ultimate supremacy; will Merlin's prophecy come true?
