Event Description

We’re excited to announce that Richard Harrington, star of the acclaimed Welsh detective series Y Gwyll/Hinterland, will be joining us for our Sinfonia Cymru: Strauss series in March, as we celebrate the 150th anniversary since the birth of Richard Strauss.

We enjoyed watching him as DCI Tom Mathias and we’re now looking forward to him featuring in the orchestra’s performance of Strauss’ Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme.  Richard will perform specially prepared readings that bring to life the characters and story of the original Moliére comedy.

Ticket holders can join us for a pre-concert conversation with both Richard Harrington and conductor Gareth Jones as they discuss the programme in depth.

Sophie Rashbrook (Nicholas John Dramaturg, WNO) chairs this insightful session and invites the audience to ask their own questions.

Tickets are just £4 for those aged under 27.

Rydym yn bles iawn i cyhoeddi bod Richard Harrington, seren y cyfres dditectif Cymreig Y Gwyll/Hinterland, yn ymuno â ni am ein cyfres Sinfonia Cymru: Strauss yn Mawrth, wrth i ni dathlu penblwydd Richard Strauss yn 150 mlwydd oed.

Mwynhaeon ni ei wylio fel DCI Tom Mathias ac edrychwn ymlaen at ei gynnwys yn perfformiad y gerddorfa o Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme Strauss.  Bydd Richard yn perfformio darlleniadau wedi eu paratoi’n arbennig sy’n dod a cymeriadau a stori’r comedi wreiddiol gan Moliére i fyw.

Gall deiliaid tocynnau ymuno â ni am sgwrs cyn y cyngerdd gyda Richard Harrington ac arweinydd Gareth Jones wrth iddynt drafod rhaglen Sinfonia Cymru: Strauss.

Sophie Rashbrook (Dramodydd Nicholas John, Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru) sy’n cadeirio y sesiwn mewnweledol yma ac gwahoddir y gynulleidfa i ofyn cwestiynau eu hunain.

Dim ond £4 yw tocynnau i bobl dan 27.
