Event Description

Join us for the June edition of our well-loved open mic series. Created to promote BAME voices in Wales, it has grown since last year to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. And it's FREE!

This month, we have the pleasure of being joined by The Good Immigrant’s DARREN CHETTY

Darren is currently completing his PhD at UCL Institute of Education, where he teaches on the BA Education Studies course. He taught in primary schools for almost 20 years. He is the author of the award-winning paper 'The Elephant in the Room: Picturebooks, Philosophy for Children and Racism.' He is also a contributor to The Good Immigrant and founder of UK Hip Hop Ed.

Featured artists also include:

NICK YEO
TAYLOR EDMUNDS

You can also sign up to the open mic on the day and share your own work alongside many other talented and vibrant creatives!

We are very sad to hear of the passing of one of Wales’ most talented and funniest playwrights, Frank Vickery. A great loss to our Welsh theatre industry. He will be greatly missed.
