National Theatre Wales Community

New Scheme run by CYFLE - closing date 24th February.

Are you a writer or content creator who's interested in developing your skills in the multi-platform world? By this I mean tv, film, theatre, radio, web, interactive, games, phones etc.  This course may be of interest -

A pioneering new training scheme is now recruiting, aiming to find the next generation of producers and creators to ensure that Wales is a leading competitor in this new world of multi platform interaction.

We’ve reached a very exciting point in the way we interact with content. We have so many tools that give us control over what we’re watching—where, when and how we’re watching it”  said Iona Williams, Chief Executive of CYFLE, the training company for the creative media industries in Wales

the technology is all there, from the BBC’s iPlayer to YouTube to Apple’s iPhone. What’s really exciting is that we’re only just scratching the surface when it comes to producing innovative content which explores the full potential provided by the technology and the way our viewing habits are changing.

That’s why we’re offering the next generation of producers and creators this opportunity to immerse themselves in multiplatform.

Building on its successful Dimension 10 Interactive Media scheme, CYFLE is looking to recruit  8 talented individuals who will become future creators and producers of ideas for use across a variety of media (web, tv, film, games, mobile phones).

The Multiplatform Production Scheme for TV Creatives is a 4 month intensive scheme, resulting in a Post Graduate Certificate - Professional Practice in the Creative Industries (awarded by the University of Glamorgan) and in collaboration with the Atrium, Cardiff.

It is an intensive, hands on, immersion into the Multiplatform World, which will provide trainees with a toolbox of skills to produce detailed exciting content.

Taught by industry professionals, with master classes from UK practitioners, this is a practical training course for working in the Multiplatform World of today.

Closing date for applications is the 24th of February 2010.  Further details and application pack can be found on the Cyfle website – www.cyfle.co.uk

This scheme is funded by S4C, TAC, Skillset Academi+ and HEFCW and is supported by Skillset and the ATRiuM.
