Hi guys,

This is happening where I'm in residence at the 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space, in collaboration with Rose Bruford. Come and talk to me, if you'd like a bursary...

Outdoor Theatre Making With Teatr Biuro Podróży
Sunday 28th August 2016 – Wednesday 31st August 2016,
101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space

This August, Polish outdoor theatre company Teatr Biuro Podróży, are returning to the UK with their new production, Silence.

In this exciting workshop opportunity, performers, theatre makers and arts professionals with a commitment to outdoor arts will work Teatr Biuro Podróży, creators of the legendary street theatre production Carmen Funebre, to explore their process of making performance.

Carmen Funebre was based on interviews with victims of the Balkans Wars in 1993-4 and explored the impact of war on civilians. The company returns to this theme with their new production, Silence, which combines physical theatre, fire, unusual staging, puppetry and music, and picks up the continuing story of refugees and migrants caught up in a spiral of war, fences and the dream of escape.

As part of a three day intensive residential workshop programme at 101 Outdoor Arts Creation Space on Greenham Common, a small group of participants will be led by principal artists from Teatr Biuro Podróży through their process of making performance.
