Kelly Jones: Dating George Orwell

Dating George Orwell takes an obsession of books and pushes it to its limits. Set at the thirtieth birthday party of loner and spinster Pauline Duffy we hear the unusual tale of her quest for love and how she has not only been plagued by her addiction to books but how they have helped in her journey of sexual awakening. Through her desperation for love and need for acceptance Pauline Duffy decides that she has no other option but to date her books. This tale of personification and teenage lust is original, adult, exciting and despite its absurdity is something theatre and non theatre goers can relate to.There will be FREE Cake, Presents and Vodka!!"

Dating George Orwell runs from 2nd August to 18th August at The White Horse (266 Canongate, EH8 8AA) as part of the Laughing Horse Free Fringe Festival 2012. It starts at 4.45pm everyday and is free to watch.
