Sustainability

From Monday 10 - Friday 14 August, here at National Theatre Wales we launched #NTWGreenWeek.

Our commitment to Wales extends beyond its venues, communities and talent, to its future. Every decision we make, be it in programming, production, communications, or administration, is put through a rigorous sustainability test.

We'll continue sharing what we're up to, interesting stories and thoughts as we take what we learnt during the week forward.

You can share your thoughts and ideas here too, letting us know what you do to be green!

Hi all,

I'm looking for an artist who specialises in working with re-used/re-cycled materials to run 1 or 2 workshop sessions at a primary school in Neath as part of the Lead Creative Schools Scheme with Arts Council Wales.

The project will explore how an outside woodland in the school grounds can be transformed into a learning zone with different areas used for different activities.  I'd really like to focus some of the project on environmental awareness, e.g. how we can make use of recycled or repurposed materials.  If this sounds like your thing, please get in touch!  ruth_stringer@yahoo.co.uk - I'll pass details to the rest of the team.

Many thanks!

I've just returned from Riga, where I was talking at an Imagine 2020 event curated by Cape Farewell about Doppelgangster's work in Paris last December at the UN Climate Talks.

Thanks for everyone's donations for the Food bank last week

We collected 17.6kgs of food which equates to just over one food parcel, so 3 meals for 3 days.

Have a great weekend x

Just recycled the metal from a set and we are donating a quantity of furniture to a charity tomorrow.   Other no longer needed props are off to charity shops tomorrow. Some equipment that we do not need will be going on ebay and gumtree over the next few days.

First lovely desk yoga session down and Michelle has trashed me in ping pong... I'm enjoying Green Week so far!

I haven't eaten meat today, and have planned my meals for the week... personal victory!

I've just installed the Hippo Water Savers in our office toilets.  There's four spares on my desk if you want one for home (needs to be a traditional cistern unit)
