sorry I pressed send by mistake.... community windmill will not get anything like the financial return for it's output making it, and probably any future community renewable energy scheme in UK, non viable. Climate change means us changing, either reactively in a response to it's consequences or proactively in holding back the negative effects. This Government withdrawing from a commitment to renewables is criminally short-sighted, putting them firmly in the “bystanders” camp. So it is very disheartening when politicians throw up their hands and withdraw from positive change. Let us hope that our politicians’ double talking, hypocritical, spin at the summit is seen for what it is and the grown up world (Bigger Democracy) decides on great positive ways forward.

I was looking at this article this morning, which is pretty shocking and then started to think about the Climate Summit in December and also how I often get caught up in the isms and schisms of politics when it seems there a bigger issues at play.

I wonder is anyone feels optimistic about the Summit?

Rabab Ghazoul and g39 are organising a study group as part of this MOOC, a free, 6-week online course, organised by Creative Time. The course looks at fundamental themes within socially engaged public art practice, through a series of video lectures and presentations by internationally acclaimed artists, curators, critics, and activists. As it’s online, it’s open to anyone in the world.
