Hi Harriet

I would like to come along too - my stuff is much along the lines of Will Ford who replied earlier. Just a few quick questions: when and where is it, what is the theme (if any) and how long is each time slot?

Warmest regards

Mark

Hi again, Harriet, would just like to say (and I don't think I'm being too presumptious) that Mab Jones and Mark Blayney have been very encouraging to me regarding my performances and range of material, be it in the form of verse, prose, or Pecha Kucha presentations (regarding the latter, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_YF6RlFkFs&feature=plcp for a PK presentation, 'The Probably Doomed Individual's guide to the End of The World!

Hi Harriet, I would definitely be interested, and have pieces of varying styles, lengths and degrees of seriousness/outright silliness. I would just need to know the length of slot and whether there is a particular theme/idea you would like performers  to reflect in what they bring to the event. Much obliged, Will

Hi Word4Worders!

I help run a project in Bridgend called Arts Exchange, and we're looking for spoken word artists who can command a crowd with good stage presence and short pieces that capture the imagination to perform at the monthly events held in Bauhaus Cafe (which is quickly becoming a hub for artisans of all kinds...)

We are unable to offer payment, but all performers do get a free meal and drink (including alcohol), and we are usually able to cover expenses.

If you're interested, or have any particular recommendations, please contact me on here or email harriet.g.hopkins@gmail.com

Previous performers have included:

  • Rhian Edwards
  • Mab Jones
  • Mark Blayney
  • Susie Wild
  • David E Oprava
  • Karen Sherrard
