Well, that's a bit of a misleading title - I'm actually looking for people in Cardiff who want to write for a website that I run, which is called We Are Cardiff...

We Are Cardiff are looking for Cardiff residents to write about their experiences of living in the city and be featured on the website. It's not just aimed at writers, it's aimed at everyone, but as you guys are already inclined towards writing, I thought I would aim it towards you lot...

If you're a writer looking to build a profile, it's a great way to get your name around... we average around 150 hits on the site per day (pretty busy week on the site last week, over 1000 views!).

We're also currently making a documentary film of the project, which spans the year 2012, and should be done by St David's Day 2013. You can follow progress of the film project here

Would really love to feature some of you on the website, if you'd be interested! Feel free to message or comment below and I'll get in touch with you (or email wearecardiff@gmail.com if you'd prefer)

I'd love to be involved :)

Hello Helia!

Sounds interesting and I have just read Adam Corner's piece. His penultimate line of "there's something reassuring about seeing the same faces in the same places wherever you go" is fitting as he looks strangely familiar.
Some extra info would be great; are there any limits/preferences/requirements?

Thank you,
Eifion

Hi Helia,

I am already a "follower" of your work already on twitter and (@lenihatcher) and have been blogging professionally for the National Trust in Wales for a year now. I also make micro videos, shoot, edit, write etc and live at Treharris street roath so pretty central. Anyway please get in touch again with more info as I'd love to write something . . . maybe about the city rd area. . . which is kinda where my life has been 'at' for the past few years.

Sounds exciting (check out my last projects at www.walesonline.co.uk/nationaltrust)

Hello all! Lovely to hear from you :-)

There are no guidelines as such - just to give as true an account of living in the city as you can. What you love about it, equally if you actually don't like it that much, what you hate... what you've achieved here, what your local neighbourhood means to you. That kind of thing.

No word limit either (though most people write around 500 words), and you can write poetry or prose.

We would also need to arrange a photoshoot with you in a location that you love in the city somewhere. You get to choose your favourite pic from the shoot, and you're welcome to use that wherever you like as long as you credit our lovely photographers.

Send your piece (or if you have more questions, etc) over to wearecardiff@gmail.com

Really looking forward to hearing from all three of you!

Eifion - it's quite possible you know Adam, he goes to a lot of gigs!

Leni - would love to read something from you about City Road - such a vibrant and lively street. I used to live in Roath, really miss it!
