As part of our commitment to supporting new and emerging Welsh artists and artists working in Wales we have once again offered space and resources to four companies in order to help them develop a new performance. The selected companies have had access to Wales Millennium Centre rehearsal space, the Weston Studio for a period of intensive creative development and Centre staff for advice in the areas of technical production, marketing, media liaison and sponsorship if required.
I would be delighted if you would join us for this showcase of new work.

Hi All members of the Young Critics group.

I have been sent this query from Dylan Moore, who is one of the mentors on he Young Critics Scheme.

If you would like to be involved can you please get back to me and I can forward your details to Dylan

Thanks

Guy

Dear all,

Arising from the induction days of this scheme http://www.wai.org.uk/news/4683 it was mooted that a Wales Critics Circle might convene along the model of this one http://www.criticscircle.org.uk/

Currently we are negotiating with Wales Arts International on funding and the Welsh Centre for International Affairs on using the Council Chamber at the Temple of Peace, Cathays Park.
The idea is to set up a monthly meeting of Welsh critics (in the broadest sense) where we invite visiting speakers and allow opportunity for debate and networking.

We need to move things along quite quickly if we are to use the goodwill and momentum we have, so for now we're not asking anyone to sign up or make any commitment to the idea other than expressing an interest.

If you'd be interested in joining such a circle and attending a once monthly meeting in Cardiff to move criticism in Wales forward,

I'll  set about creating a list of critics for our potential funders and supporters - I need to do this by Friday.

Many thanks and best wishes,

Dylan
