SPANGLED 

MERCURY THEATRE WALES are now casting their forthcoming production of SPANGLED, a brand new audience-immersive show set in a Welsh nightclub in the early 1990s, when the UK clubbing culture exploded with House music rising to the fore and clubbers being introduced to new forms of recreational drugs. It has been devised and created by Mercury Theatre Wales and is Directed by Bethan Morgan. 

We are looking for a versatile ensemble of performers with good movement skills. All actors should be South Wales based. 

Rehearses: 8th - 30th April 2013 in Cardiff. 

Performs: 1st - 25th May 2013 Chapter Arts Centre Cardiff and Welsh tour. 

Agreement: Fee based contract in line with Equity/TMA agreements. 

Casting: Week commencing 18th February 2013 in Cardiff. 

Deadline for submissions: 16th February 2013.

BREAKDOWN 

Steve – Age: 38-45. Small time drug pusher, still clubbing, wrestling with his demons. S.Wales accent. 

Johnny – Age: 29. Resident House DJ. 

Sean – Age: early 20s. Soft-hearted Valleys rugby boy who wants to settle down. S.Wales accent. 

Gary – Age: early 20s. A regular, outgoing clubber. S.Wales accent. 

Donna – Age: 18-21. Valleys hairdresser who aspires to becoming a DJ. S.Wales accent. 

Angel – Age: 18-21. Just wants to dance. S.Wales accent.
