 Calling all young playwrights…

The Ashton Group is searching for a new play by a young writer with which to tour the North West.

The one act play should have a running time of 60 minutes, and should be written for four young actors: 2 male, 2 female. If practicable, these four actors can play any number of different characters. The writer should be no older than 25. The play can be upon any theme or subject.

Selection Process:

All writers should submit before the deadline below a synopsis including plot and character outline, and the first 10 pages of their play. 4 writers will then be given the opportunity to expand their work into a full length piece with the support and guidance of a professional mentor. 1 of these plays will then be selected to go into development for production. All writers will be offered feedback on their work.

Please send submissions to The Ashton Group’s Associate Director Chris Loveless: chrisloveless@hotmail.co.uk

Deadline for submissions: Friday 11th July 2014

Hello National Theatre Wales Community!

Dry Mouth Theatre has just finished casting for its debut production of Arthur Miller's American classic Death of a Salesman taking place at The Gate Arts Centre on the 24th, 25th and 26th of July!

We're a brand new theatre group made up entirely of young people living around South Wales who are passionate about theatre (whether it be acting/directing/costume design etc) and we'd love it if you could one little tiny thing for us!

All we're asking is for you to mosey on over to our page (linked below) and hit the 'Like' button and share our page with your friends/family/creative types, it's that easy!

We'll be updating our page with regular vlogs and video diaries from the team as well as all the latest info on the show itself.
So what are you waiting for, take a look at our cast and previous vlogs! - https://www.facebook.com/drymouththeatre

P.S. We also have our twitter account up and running should you be so inclined - https://twitter.com/DryMouthTheatre

Thanks very much for your time and support!

Jack
