My time in Brazil in my own words.

Rio de Janeiro Carnival season 2017!!! I was officially invited to take part in my dear friend Hugo Camarate (President of Vagalume O Verde). After a long 11hr flight from London Heathrow I arrived at GIG airport Rio, Brazil. Hugo met me at arrivals and embraced me the huge smile Brazilians are known for.

In the taxi to his house he wasted no time telling me what he's been up to and how much work they've been doing since I left them in October. I was super…

The Art Of Cultural Exchange!

A cold evening in September my phone rang. It was our previous Artistic director John McGrath, he offered me a great opportunity to take part in an international cultural exchange programme in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil - "A Arte de Intercâmbio." (The Art of Cultural Exchange).

I was one of 3 young artists from Britain taking part but what was special for me was that I was the only one representing Wales. As an artist from wales there's only one organisation that I could and would represent… Continue

March in and on.

This month of March has been one to remember, just off a leap year and it feels like I've leaped into a whole new world.

Firstly I'd like to mention that I've just had my recall audition for the Royal Welsh to study 3 year BA Acting. How did it go? We'll soon find out as I'm waiting to hear back within the next week or so.

And Finally, this past week I've been working on The Big Democracy Project ran by Gavin Porter. If I was questioning my identity and society before then now… Continue

Hi Ali,

Welcome to the Community! It's great to have you here.

Make yourself at home and have a look around. I would recommend checking out the De Gabay project group and the Writers Group. Groups are the best place on the community to share ideas and projects with people who have similar interests to you. You can join groups by clicking on the Join button on the top right.

You can also add community members as friends, and you might want to connect with John McGrath (National Theatre Wales' Artistic Director, and the person who looks after the Writers Group) and Yusuf and Gavin who are looking after the De Gabay project.

As usual it's best to get stuck in with the community, but give me a shout if you have any questions!

Jen
