A little more about me:
www.alisonlenihan.com

I began my acting career as a teenager with West Glamorgan Youth Theatre. I studied Drama, English Literature and Language at A level and have a BA hons in English and Film. I left South Wales at 19 to work as a singer and have worked as a professional entertainer since then - as a solo cabaret performer, in duos, showbands and Tribute acts throughout the UK. Full Equity member. Spotlight member.

In 2012, and now in my 40s I decided to change my career from solely singing and re-train as an actor. In 2013, I was pleased to receive acclaim for my portrayal of Jenny Starr - an overpowering, glamorous 'cougar' with belting songs, in The Musician stage musical. In a comedic role as the feisty Welsh receptionist in purgatory, The Waiting Room, I was nominated for Best Actor at the Screenfest Awards.

I would love to take on more roles depicting strong Welsh women. Please take a look at my website and if you'd like to get in touch email me or add me on the NTW pages.
