STORIES OF THE STREETS

Hi there, thought the performance was amazing.  Came from Swansea, Port Talbot and Pontardawe to see it.  We had to go early because of the travel distance involved.  Hope to start this in Swansea.  I would welcome a dialogue with the teams members involved.  Can travel to Cardiff or discuss it by email.  Please can someone contact me.   Best wishes.............   Bee Richards

Hi Bee,

Glad to hear you're interested in joining Scribblers!

The group runs once a month, for around 2 hours (sometimes more,
depending on turnout, how much people have brought with them to read,
and the discussions that follow a reading). We're currently meeting in
Pyle Life Centre (if you need directions, let me know...), where the
Manager has been kind enough to let us use a comfy room for the
evening! There's no charge for the group, and as I mentioned in my
blog, we'll be becoming more of an 'arts collective' hopefully in the
next month, and should be holding meetings in Bauhaus in Bridgend.

If you want to attend the next meeting, and would like to write to the
set themes, they are:

Complaints

Write about your worst habit

For those who don't like reading aloud, or would rather hear their work to listen out for opportunities to edit, many people are happy to read others’ writing. Similarly, if you don’t want to read something of your own aloud during the first session, or don’t know what to bring, we’re always open to hearing snippets of writing you admire, by published authors.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Hope to see you in Pyle LC on 17th February, at 6pm.

Harriet

Hi Bee,

Welcome to the Community! It's great to see you here.

Have a look around and get stuck in. A good place to start is by joining a group of similar people. I recommend checking out the Writers Group (which is looked after by John McGrath, Artistic Director).

You can also Write a Blog Post to update the Community, or start a discussion, or see what's on and add your own events in the What's On section

As usual it's best to just dive in but if you have any questions, do give me a shout.

Jen
