Profile Information

What I do:
Welsh speaking actor.
A little more about me:
I am from Pembrokeshire, West Wales and am a fluent welsh speaker.

I trained at the University of Manchester, and at 'The Poor School' in London.

I am also an emerging writer with a focus on creating verbatim plays as I specialised in this art form when studying for my BA Hons Drama degree at the University of Manchester.

I aim to create work that gives a voice to the unheard, or tells the story of small communities. Often my work has a political drive, for example for my thesis at university I wrote a verbatim play that explored the issue of holiday homes in rural Welsh communities - how the problem directly affects the survival of the Welsh language. I want to tell the stories of real people - stories that are often not told within the arts.
Location:
London / Pembrokeshire
Projects I’m working on:
I am currently playing Stephano in an all female cast of 'The Tempest' with the London based theatre company Controlled Chaos UK.

Dear Ceri,

We are Spectrum Drama and Theatre Projects and we are currently working on a Tudor history project at Plas Mawr in Conwy. We are currently seeking Welsh speaking actors and wondered if you might be interested or knew of suitable people who might be interested?

The project is due to launch in September but we hope to trial it in the Summer term. I cannot give definite dates as this will depend upon bookings from schools and other clients. However, we pay from £80 per day.

If you can help, or could point us towards a suitable organisation or people, perhaps you could email me, Richard Hodder, on enquiries@spectrumdrama.com? Alternatively, the office number is 020 7735 9220 and my mobile is 07710 442313.

 In advance, thank you.

 Best wishes,  Richard Hodder.
