Profile Information

What I do:: I am a social artist from The Low Lands living on Ynys Mon since 12 September 2002. I graduated last year from Fine Art Degree course at Coleg Menai in Bangor with a social art project called T-project, where I invited people to (re-)connect through simply drinking tea together. I am happily married to Dr. Jan Hiddink, Marine Biologist and lecturer at School of Ocean Science in Menai Bridge and have no children of my own - yet. I like to build bridges & make connections, but I go through dark phaces where I can't do that and feel very lonely in my nice Welsh cottage, cut of from the world... and myself... internet feels a way out, but is it really?

not sure about the spelling of phaces, it might be the rather rude brown things, not sure... I wrote 'faces' first, quite a funny spelling mistake, yeah, life is a bitch when you're trying to be multi-lingual...

My Body Welsh, water sound fun and thought provoking

Great and fun show of My Body Welsh at Galeri tonight with a chinwag and a drink with lovely people about it afterwards. The interaction and live feedback of the sounds worked very effective. The mix of Welsh & English was clever and nice for Welsh learners like myself. The fact that is was based so locally, in Llanfair.... gogogoch. made it feel very inclusive. All in all a wonderful show that i would recommend anybody to go and see. Thanks to Rachel Rosen for the tip!
