Profile Information

What I do:
I am a social artist from The Low Lands living on Ynys Mon since 12 September 2002. I graduated last year from Fine Art Degree course at Coleg Menai in Bangor with a social art project called T-project, where I invited people to (re-)connect through simply drinking tea together. I am happily married to Dr. Jan Hiddink, Marine Biologist and lecturer at School of Ocean Science in Menai Bridge and have no children of my own - yet. I like to build bridges & make connections, but I go through dark phaces where I can't do that and feel very lonely in my nice Welsh cottage, cut of from the world... and myself... internet feels a way out, but is it really?
not sure about the spelling of phaces, it might be the rather rude brown things, not sure... I wrote 'faces' first, quite a funny spelling mistake, yeah, life is a bitch when you're trying to be multi-lingual...
dal a chi eto - or what was Welsh again for Keep at it?

My Body Welsh, water sound fun and thought provoking

Great and fun show of My Body Welsh at Galeri tonight with a chinwag and a drink with lovely people about it afterwards. The interaction and live feedback of the sounds worked very effective. The mix of Welsh & English was clever and nice for Welsh learners like myself. The fact that is was based so locally, in Llanfair.... gogogoch. made it feel very inclusive. All in all a wonderful show that i would recommend anybody to go and see. Thanks to Rachel Rosen for the tip!

Shwmae! I am a Japanese artist of Waleslab! We are going to visit Wales from this Friday 15th to 27th. We want to research about the relationship between Welsh people and WylfaB nuclear plant. So, we are looking for people who can meet and talk about it. I found your friend talked about WylfaB. We will visit Anglesey from 19th to 22th. Shall we meet in Anglesey sometime? Diolch!!

Hi Femke, welcome to National Theatre Wales and thanks for wanting to become. Team member! I'm sure you'll make some brilliant connections on here and thanks for the note on Ynys Mon. My flatmates from Holy Island and it is beautiful! This theatre map of Wales is just the beginning - we have years 2,3,4... To be able to make theatre with and for the people from areas we haven't been able to get to yet. Please keep in touch and keep telling us what you want and what you'd like to see and do! X
