A theatrical company set up in 2009 to bridge what we see as a gap between the casual theatre-goer and the definite non theatre-goer. We focus on original, crowd-pleasing comedies, and why not?

This group is for those sophisticats out there in theatre land who dig the life-affirming youtube broadcasts of David Garland Jones - actor, guru, raconteur, poet, and online phenomenon (12,100 hits and counting). 'Withnail & Dai' - Guardian Guide

With so many wonderful scripts out there, it's not possible to own them all so that one can read them. So, I thought we could pass requests about plays we want to read on here. If someone has a copy you can arrange to lend it by post or in person

Looking for TEAM ambassadors for 'A Good Night Out in the Valleys'!

We are looking for enthusiastic people to become TEAM ambassadors for our first production ' A Good Night Out in the Valleys'!

An ambassador would represent National Theatre Wales in the various communities across the South Wales Valleys and help spread the word about 'A Good Night Out in the Valleys'.
There will be lots of different ways you can benefit from being a TEAM member and being a part of the TEAM would allow you to shape what National Theatre Wales does in the future.

If you would… Continue

Blaengarw Panto, A Good Night Out!

Alan Harris and I attended Blaengarw's Panto, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rise of the Gobbler.
I haven't attended a Panto since I was little so it was refreshing to have Cyber Men, The Joker, talking vegetables, Del and Rhodney and Darleks in the same production and not get confused by it all. Admittedly there were moments were I didn't have a clue what was going on, but that was the fun of it!

There was an impressive Blodwyn the cow who had to be sold when the President of the United Garw Valley r… Continue

Phobia of the dentist!

This blog may seem a little obscure as it is not really about what i've been up to reguarding the theatre world. It is (as the title suggests) about my phobia of the dentist. There is a point to me posting this. My brother is a primary school teacher and he has asked me to write something that his pupils can act out and enjoy. So I've been thinking what I liked as a child etc and one of things I enjoyed was getting Tom and Jerry stickers from the dentist. It was like getting a reward for seeing t… Continue

Hi Hannah, hope you are well. Creation in Blaengarw is ace. And the cafe is the best we visited, yes? I've never eaten so much. (Although the one in Bedwas is awesome for its own reasons). Can't wait to go back there.

Brilliant, thanks Hannah. Great to know you want to be involved. One of the things we are thinking about developing is an Intern programme that can give people varying experiences within the office, including administration support, as well as helping the creative team research, plan and deliver the various projects we have going on. We are also looking into what level we should be pitching this job at - school-leavers, graduate students, anyone who wants further experience working in a theatre company...If you are interested in any of this do get back to me at any time to let me know and we can put you in the mix! x

Hi Hannah, welcome to National Theatre Wales. I hope your last exam went well?! In terms of getting involved with NTW, I was just wondering how you would like to get involved? This network is a great way for us to find out the best ways to work with new artists, provide training, opportunities etc... but it would be great to hear what it is you really want from us. Is it something like work experience in the office you would be after? Opportunities to join a writers' network?... Let me know your thoughts, it all helps shape our work.x
