What I do:
Artist
A little more about me:
I am a visual artist. The conversations I have with people are in some ways my main medium but I also make videos and draw. I often work across disciplines and have created work with actors, singers, dancers, hairdressers and massage therapists. I am interested in creating unusual dialogues and investigating the overlooked.
Location:
Cardiff
Projects I’m working on:
The Joy Orchestra - a self-directed Arts Council funded research and development project. I am looking at how I could create a musical dialogue between musicians and non-verbal individuals. This will culminate in an audio-visual performance for a testbed audience this year. Project blog here http://www.a-n.co.uk/artists_talking/projects/single/4221539

#WALESLAB Day 1 of the DIY Manual for Falling in Love with Objects

Phew!

A busy start to my Waleslab project, we watched films, created new narratives, ditched those narratives and watched films again. I wrote a love letter to an object I may never see again and imagined just for  a moment that I was seeing it again. We went in circles, on tangents, in lines. I…

#WalesLab - A DIY Manual for Falling in Love with Objects

I'm very excited that in less than a month I'll be starting my WalesLab project A DIY Manual for Falling in Love with Objects. Normally identifying as a visual artist I'm excited about developing as a 'Live' artist.

For the last year I have been finding new ways to talk with ‘things’. I had a date with a plate, a holiday romance with a lighthouse and a rebound relationship with a paint roller. During my WalesLab project I will be starting to develop a ‘how to’ guide…

Join my Joy Orchestra!

Hi my name is Heloise Godfrey-Talbot, I’m a video artist.

I’m currently researching the possibility of creating a  digital ‘musical dialogue’ between musicians and individuals who do not use speech as their main method of communicating with the world (specifically those with Autism Spectrum Disorder). The project is called The Joy Orchestra and will eventually be a multi-screen event for a testbed performance in May 2014.

I am supported by the Welsh…

Good luck Heloise - I won't be able to make it from N Wales I'm afraid, gutted.  My project starts next week!  Best wishes to you, it sounds really amazing.

Hi Heloise, yes, I'm working away on it and have just sorted my two collaborators which is really exciting: Chris. Dugrenier and Sam Fox! Our 'week' is 20 - 24 April, the sharing on the 23rd (hopefully!). How's yours going?
