What I do:
Movement Director • Teacher • Performance Maker
A little more about me:
I am a dance artist and performance maker often working in cross disciplinary forms, collaborating with artists from various backgrounds and skill bases. I am performer and artistic collaborator with Cardiff Based Mary Bijou Cabaret, Artistic Associate of Moving Dust Dance Company, as well as running my own theatre, dance, performance and cabaret projects.

I trained as a choreographer and dancer at Laban (BA Dance Theatre), and as a Movement Director at the Central School of Speech and Drama (MA Movement Studies). I have Lectured on the BA Drama at Northampton University for a number of years, and Lectured on Movement Anatomy at the Acadamy of Live and Recorded Art. I have presented lecture performances at the Place- London, 2012 Psi conference- Leeds, Theatr Wred- Oldenburg, Milan University and Calcutta University, and have had writing in the first publication of The Swedish Dance History. I have taught with Cambridge University, Central St Martins, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Earthfall dance company, and internationally with Europian Live Art Network.

My movement direction work has included collaboration with Firenza Guidi making work in Italy, Wales, France and India. Other movement direction credits include Ellen McDougall (the Gate, London), Brave New Worlds (www.bnwtheatre.com.au), Give It a Name (Chapter, Cardiff), Blanche Macentire (Southwark Playhouse), Justin Audibert (The Gate). I have taught Movement Analysis on MA Character Animation at Central St. Martins and collaborated with award winning director Vicky Mather on a short film for Lulu Guinness.

Projects I’m working on:
I am currently making a double act, experimental-comedy-documentary-dance-drama with performance partner Lawrence speck. The show is based on our experiences in the Real Life Super Hero sub-culture. It has been supported by Battersea Arts Centre's Cook Up season, Camden Peoples Theatre's Starting Blocks, and Exciter's Bike Shed. It will premier in CPT in Oct in a double bill with Improbable Theatre.

The next event to take part in is Workout, located in Cardiff on 31st May.  This is an event to bring artists from different backgrounds, and disciplines together to collaborate on projects, and is an opportunity to meet other TEAM members.  Find out more here.
