What I do:
Hannah says: I’m from Edinburgh originally but I now live and work in Wales, mostly as an actor. Last time I worked with NTW I was up against a beast with a thousand teeth beating this Green Man should be a piece of cake! I like running and eating cheese, but not at the same time. Llinos says: I work mostly as an actor but recently have started creating my own work. I decided that I wanted to create work that I really wanted to be in. So I did. The Harri-Parris was my first show. I got to do a rap, dance like Beyonce and be funny all at the same time. In my element I was. And together we are – Llinos Mai & Hannah McPake and we are making a new show commissioned by National Theatre Wales, for Greenman Festival 2014. AND WE ARE BLOGGING ABOUT IT.
A little more about me:
We’ve created this account to welcome you all to our ruddy marvellous blog (if we may say so ourselves) about Green Man Red Woman, a new show STARRING us and commissioned by National Theatre Wales especially for Greenman Festival 2014!

From 14 - 17 August we’re reclaiming the woods for all the festival women-folk (sorry men-folk but you are not welcome in our woods!) and performing a ritual-spell-type-thing Llinos found in her nan’s house to create an all-seeing-all-knowing Red Woman to show the Green Man who really is boss. Sometimes we’ll even leave our tents and chat to all you lovely ladies on site, harnessing your power and female energy (with your permission of course). We need it for the spell, see.
Location:
In the dark and creepy woods at the Glan Usk Estate, Greenman Festival (festival goers: please come and see us)
Projects I’m working on:
Green Man // Red Woman of course! And an anti-rain dance for the weekend 14 – 17 August.

Watch us harness the female energy of National Theatre Wales' most powerful women...

Greetings!

Since our last post we have been incredibly busy harnessing female energy as part of the ritual we will be doing for our Greenman show. Two of the most powerful ladies at National Theatre Wales, Executive Producer Lisa Maguire and Vice-Chair of the Board Gemma McAvoy kindly agreed to be interviewed by us. Little did they know what we (mainly Llinos) had in store for them...

Here we are chatting with Lisa Maguire…

Pies Glorious Pies

Hello everyone. We are (still) Llinos Mai and Hannah McPake and we are (still) blogging about making Green Man // Red Woman, the show we are very excited to be taking to Green Man 2014 with National Theatre Wales. Catch us across all four days of the festival doing our thing across the site and in our bower in the woods behind the Walled Garden.

We are very busy making the show but we’ve just found out that Pie…

Green Man // Red Woman - our first blog! By Llinos and Hannah

Greetings! We are actresses Llinos Mai and Hannah McPake, welcome to our blog about Green Man // Red Woman, which you can see at Greenman Festival from 14 - 17 August 2014. For the four days of the festival we will be camping in the woods (sharing a tent), doing magic tricks like two little David Copperfields and chatting to as many lovely ladies as we can find onsite. Which we imagine will be a lot.
