Profile Information

What I do:
Writer/performer/deviser from Cardiff. I like creating work from scratch.
A little more about me:
I have been working in London, Spain and Edinburgh and now I'm back home in Wales. Devising is my thing.I started as a dramaturg with 19;29, a site specific theatre company, before joining forces with a Spanish/English company called Teatro Entre Escombros. I've trained with SITI Company in Suzuki and Viewpoints, in Grotowski-based techniques and physical devising as a performer. I was an NTW Emerging Director on Coriolan/Us (2012) and was a participant in Waleslab's Pollinate Summer Camp 2012.

In the last few years I have started to make work independently and I'm currently working on the final development of 'Invisible City' at Chapter Arts Centre.
Location:
Vale of Glamorgan
Projects I’m working on:
- Invisible City (Chapter Arts Centre, January 21st/22nd)
- Theatre in Movement (physical theatre/vocal workshops combining Suzuki and Viewpoints; Spain and Portugal)
- 'What is dance? What is movement? What is action?' - research project

Fancy learning Suzuki and Viewpoints in Aberystwyth?

Hey everyone!

Hope life is all good across the community. I've just added an event to the site that I wanted to tell you about.

Along with my friend and colleague Judith Sleddens, and the Centre for Performance Research (CPR), I've been planning a two-week theatre training workshop - that is now announced and open for applications!

The workshop will be a two-week intensive led by Ellen Lauren and Barney O'Hanlon, from SITI Company. SITI is a…

The Haircut

The Haircut is a devised performance by 5 Cardiff teenage girls, and produced in conjunction between NTW Team and BAWSO. We've been working on it for just over two weeks. It's part of Cut It Out, an event to be held on Sunday July 15th in Butetown (venue T.B.C.), organised by the girls, which focuses on the issues and consequences of FGM and Forced Marriage.…

Hi Lowri!

LONG TIME NO SPEAK! And in typing this I suddenly remember we never met to view Newport Spaces! So I have a thought if you're still looking for one.

Why don't you come and check out our pop up theatre venue sometime next week when your free. We're hosting events there, but if you can't attend those, you can come and have a butchers.

Here's an invite for the events anyway. If you're interested, get in touch.
