Community and Education Manager of Ireland's National Theatre, the Abbey in Dublin.
A little more about me:
I've worked as a performer and a writer in England and Ireland. I spent ten years as a storyteller in schools in Manchester and facilitated workshops for all ages. I love making stuff up, passing stuff on, learning, encouraging, meeting people and listening to their stories - if I or we or they can then make something out of those stories, even better.
Location:
Dublin, Ireland
Projects I’m working on:
'How You Were and How We Are' - an inter - generational project on immigration with the Sean O'Casey Community Centre.
'Giving Our Voices Back' - monologues and a schools workshop based on the experiences of young immigrant women escaping prostitution.
Song Cycle - with R.A.D.E. an examination of the pharmaceutical industry's influence on business and politics performed with a group recovering from addiction through arts practice.
Drama Projects with JobCare, Larking Job Club and Lourdes Youth and Community Centre.
'The Clappers' - a core group of regular Abbey audience members who meet after every show to discuss their responses. We also provide resource materials,' meet the cast and author' evenings and expert overview on the work.
