A little more about me:
I grew up in the Rhondda. I’ve written poetry and lyrics since my teens. In 1969 I studied Art and Design in Bristol and then Cardiff. I moved to New York in 1973 returning in 1975 to study in Brighton where I qualified as an Art Teacher. I trained as a social worker in 1981 in Cardiff University. I’ve worked in the field of child abuse and violence for 35 years. I received specialist training to provide treatment for those suffering PTSD including armed services veterans. In 2003 I established a consultancy as an expert in the Criminal and Family Courts across the UK.

In 2012 due to work related stress and ill health I closed the consultancy and returned to photography and writing poetry. I’ve compiled a collection of poems. I received a mention in the Welsh International Poetry Competition 2015. I also became involved with other artists and writers in contributing to an anthology of short stories – A Fall into Grace - on the subject of love with my story The Choice which was published on 16th December 2015 with a launch at the National Folk Museum of Wales in St Fagans.
Location:
Pontypridd
Projects I’m working on:
Have completed first novel; have started writing second novel as part of a trilogy. First collection of poetry "Uncertain Times" published by Octavo Press September 2016. Will be reading my work at the Wales Mental Health Arts Festival 22nd November 2016. I'm writing a play about Rhondda political figures members of my family and their reaction to the community now "News from the Valley".
