What I do:
Technical Theatre
A little more about me:
I am a hard working reliable person who takes responsibilities seriously. I work well in a team but am willing to take initiative and can work well with minimal supervision. I am numerate and literate, with good oral and written communication skills. I am computer literate and hold a full clean driving license. In addition to this I am a fluent Welsh speaker.

My interests are creative based activities, such as: playing the piano, singing, producing art, making music, reading and creative writing. I am also looking into extending my field into drama and performing arts. In addition to these things, I enjoy going for walks in the countryside.

I have completed a two year BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music Technology with the triple grade Distinction, Distinction, Merit. The course included, composition, mixing, editing, producing and setting up live sound as well as filming and editing a music video for one of the tracks I'd recorded with a band.

I have also completed a 12 month Technical Theatre Apprenticeship with Gower College, Swansea.
I worked on various performances such as, plays, music concerts (varied genres), comic stand-ups, musicals and ballet.
I would mostly be working with at least one other member of staff due to health and safety regulations.
The job included rigging, focusing and operating theatre lights, setting up and operating live sound, working at height, assisting with putting up set and manual handling during “get-ins” and get-outs”.
The other apprentice and I were involved with the set-up of the Nofit State Circus production, Bianco, in their big-top for two days of the apprenticeship. This was an incredible experience and opportunity to witness firsthand about the practicalities of setting up a totally different performance in a completely different environment to a theatre.
For two weeks of the apprenticeship I worked very closely with the local primary school for a play they were putting on in the theatre which I designed the lighting for. I also performed other independent tasks for this production such as set-up their live sound and projection onto the back of the stage.
I was also involved with projectionist work for cinema which included scheduling for digital film performances.
Part of my job included liaising with the public and assisting them with any inquiries.
I have also been on a short tour around Wales with a couple of bands, operating lighting that I’d designed with my fellow apprentice at Theatr Mwldan as well as assisting with setting up live sound for them.
