PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED

Hello.

Tin Shed Theatre Co. are working on a large scale outdoor production of Macbeth at Raglan Castle.

Having just received R&D funding from Arts Council Wales we are able to successfully carry out a sight reccy, table meeting, creative meeting and script edit some time in June.

However, the Project Manager attached to the project has had to bow out as she has other priorities.

I am looking for a Project Manager to be present…

All For Love

Broke new ground in my career today - my first performance as a non-human! Thankfully, the baboons in David Weiner's "Feeding Time at the Human House" are quite heavily anthropomorphized, so I didn't have to paint my bum red or climb on anything...!

Jayne Stillman and I performed two of Weiner's shorts for Fluellen Theatre Company as part of the ongoing…

Migration

In the light of the news today and the all too familiar fear filled images we are given of masses of migrants flooding in at the gates of Europe, I feel the need to talk about the workshops I've been doing for NTW Team in Refugee and Asylum Seeker groups.  But maybe I should let these images speak for themselves.…

An NTW Approach to Education?

On our travels we’ve often worked closely with schools and colleges, from Danielle’s gang in Tonypandemonium to the pre-show for Love Steals Us From Loneliness. They’ve also provided performers for a number of our Assemblies and TEAM projects, and helped our Communications team come up with new marketing ideas. Up until now, it’s generally been part of a wider project, but we now want the focus to be solely on education.

So we've decided to seek the help of…

Bare Fiction #2

Delighted to have had a short play-script included in Issue 2 of literary periodical Bare Fiction. It also includes, as well as a lot of fascinating poetry, three other short plays, and a none-more-dark story from Rachel Trezise.

Director needed for dark comedy one man show

I’m looking for a Director to help me rehearse a one man show I’m performing at this year’s Cardiff Comedy Festival.

The Show

“Conrad Kordover is a man with strange habits; a loner, living by his own unconventional beliefs. When a murder is committed, it isn’t long before the Police come knocking.”

“What’s the Time, Mr Wolf?” by Vincent Cassar. A darkly comic one man play exploring a society where justice must be done, whatever the price. A piece that is…

UTAH to PATAGONIA

Hi Creatives/Practitioners/Directors/Writers/Actors/Dancers...,

We have an ambition. We want to take our bilingual production of Priodferch Utah/Utah Bride to Patagonia for the 150 year celebrations.

Many of themes of Utah about searching for that 'something else' tie in with the first Welsh people who landed ' with a dream and a hope of creating their new home'.

It will also help me as a practitioner to link up with artists in Argentina and…

CALL OUT: Actor-Musician - Acoustic Guitarist

Hello!

We're looking for an enthusiastic actor-musician (actor not necessary) to be a part of a very exciting project which is happening over a course of a month THIS summer. It's an unspoken devised piece of theatre, which will be performed at Sherman Theatre, National Eisteddfod & Edinburgh Fringe.

I have no money to offer YET. Application to ACW being reviewed - this is following the success of an R&D Grant from ACW. Cross…

Mametz Week 2

It's week two, and yet it feels like a month ago I wrote my first blog post! We have fully immersed ourselves in the text, history, beauty and pain that comes with the production. We have a uniquely talented mix of performers, creatives and technical team collaborating to make the most of this opportunity. An opportunity, that in my opinion, has the ability to portray the battle of Mametz wood in a raw and passionate manner.

So what have we been up to... we have spent a lot of time… Continue

Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

May Bank Holiday Monday...

This is going to be a great day - we've Extraordinary Little Cough on the Worm and then Reminiscences of Childhood in the sight of the worm.

We have had some great feedback from the initial performances of Return Journey too:

'great performances', 'really enjoyed', innovative', to quote but three...

Also, we've had a great piece written about it in the Telegraph...…
