I have been thinking a lot about horror as a genre lately. It's proving to be a very difficult medium for theatre because with theatre the audience sees all of what's there. However, I think theatre needs to be a different kind of horror - more breach of trust horror than scary thing horror. Anybody got any good experiences of writing horror for…

I am working with the creators of a current WalesLab project called SEEN but not HEARD and we are looking for 2 to 3 performers of either gender to take part in our research and development process.
SEEN but not HEARD is a silent theatrical journey, exploring events that shocked Cardiff and the UK. It explores the path of three young men who were wrongly convicted of a murder they did not commit, in one…

Today, I was invited to go and see the R & D presentation of a musical written by Tim Riley.
Set in an Indian restaurant in Cardiff, and telling the story of the restaurant owner, his guests and nephew, I believe it is a project to look out for.
I'm usually not one for musicals I must admit, I love music but I can't get my head around people who act normally the one minute and then burst out into song. Because of it's authentic music however, Half & Half was different, and…

Matt Ball came to speak at this symposium and the first opportunity I got, I tackled him to ask if I could do an internship at NTW. He told me that NTW never takes interns, but I found another form in which I could still come over to work with NTW for about two…
