Theatr Iolo and Park & Dare are on the look-out for two workshop assistants to assist our Platfform artist, director Anna Poole in an ongoing series of workshops taking place in Treorchy Primary School and the Park & Dare with 10 – 11 year olds from the town. The role of the workshop assistants is to:
- Contribute to the creative process
- Assist with any individual or group set tasks
- Help to manage the groups
- Assist Anna as workshop leader
- Possibility to lead some activities
- Help participants with structure and development of creative writing task
We’re looking for people with
- Experience of working with 10-11 year olds
- Organised and punctual
- A desire to work in theatre or creative writing
- Passion for the project
- Must have up-to-date DBS
Assistants will be paid £12 per hour. The workshops will take place every Wednesday and Friday from early February onwards for six weeks (subject to change). This is a three-hour commitment per week, with potential for more work. Applicants need to be available for every session;
