Actors and a director needed for a new company

Opportunities for actors and a director to join a new company.

A Royal Flush

Written by Phil Williams and produced by Wilcox productions.

Phil Williams is a co-founder of Inky Quills (http://www.inkyquillproductions.co.uk/) and wrote their 1st play " Away Now To War", performed at the Gate theatre  in 2009. We both joined the Howardian Drama group in 2010 appearing in " Audacity" before co-writing " "The Final Curtain" last year - http://www.remotegoat.co.uk/event_view.php?uid=130819

We have created " A Royal Flush", based around Arthur 'The Iron Maiden' Bodbury, The Third, a gangster who controls gambling in Cardiff in the 1930's, supported by his muscle "Ankles". Sammy Dawes is a compulsive secret gambler using his wife's butter money to get involved with the latest craze, Strip Poker.
He is soon in debt to Arthur who enlists him in a plot to kill his protegee.

This is the basic plot of a funny, surreal play to be performed in Cardiff  in April 2013.

This will be the first play by Wilcox Productions and we are starting from scratch. We are just beginning the casting process and are looking for actors to fill the following roles:

Male – 20s
Male  - 30 – 50s
2 x Females – 30s-50s

and a Director.

Experience is preferred but not essential. Rehearsals will take place at Dempsey's pub in Cardiff [opposite the Castle) on Saturday 27th October from Noon to 5.00pm.

Sadly, this will be an unpaid production but hopefully there will be fun throughout the rehearsal and performance period.

So, if this project sounds uinteresting and you would either like to book an audition slot or wish to discuss any aspect of the production please respond to this message or email me at davidandann1@btinternet.com

Hope to hear from you shortly.
