We are looking for two circus/physical performers for a new collaboration between NoFit State and Motionhouse. The Show BLOCK is an exciting new creation combining circus, movement and physical theatre and will tour internationally from May 2016.

NoFit State and Motionhouse have been looking for opportunities to work together for several years and BLOCK is the ideal project for this exciting collaboration. The desire to join forces to create a project for public spaces echoes the two companies’ commitment to making work that is accessible, provides a platform for audience development whilst pushing at the boundaries of their art forms. The fusion of house styles creates a new theatrical language mixing circus and dance in an extraordinary and seamless way. Fusing the fluidity of dance with spectacular circus to continually reshape the modular staging negates the need to perform “acts”, allowing the skills to be fully integrated in the movement vocabulary, creating a new and exciting form.

We are looking for two acrobatic/parkour/handstand or hand to hand performers to join us for the next creation phases and tour. At least one of the two performers must be female. Duos, pairs and couples may apply but only if at least one partner is female. Must have strong movement qualities as well as excellent non equipment based circus skill.

Creation dates 5th - 17th Oct 2015 at NoFit State in Cardiff, then 19 - 31st Oct 2015 at Motionhouse in Warwick and 18th April – 1st May at Citron Jaune creation space, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, France.
