Hello all. Monday 16th November sees the first of what will hopefully be a regular new night of poetry, prose, spoken word and music in Cardiff. We at The Joy Collective are calling it 'Balloon' and this first one is absolutely free thanks to the support of Parthian Books.

So, for zero pounds, you will get the fabulous Mao Jones performing his poetry; Jimi Alexander & The Satellites bringing their haunting brand of alt.country to proceedings; one of Britain's brightest literary talents in Dylan Thomas Prize winner Rachel Trezise reading from... whatever she wants; me launching my new novel The Ground Remembers; and more live music from ex-Zygotic Mynci Richard James.

If that wasn't enough, DIG impresario, Finders Keepers associate and purveyor of all manner of sounds funky, hairy and freaky Carl Forecast will be keeping us dancing until one a.m.

I'm sure you agree, this sounds like quite an evening, so come on down to Ten Feet Tall for eight o'clock to join in the fun.

Cheers,

Scotty
