The Emerging Director position is an opportunity for artists interested in working closely with more experienced lead artists/ directors, gaining close-up experience of their practice and inside knowledge of the creative processes that go into making one of our main productions. This role is a key component of the creative team and requires attendance during rehearsals, production week and performances.

We are currently looking to appoint an Emerging Director for an upcoming production with Common Wealth - We’re Still Here; working alongside co-artistic directors Evie Manning and Rhiannon White.

This will be a unique production, written by Rachel Trezise and co-produced by Common Wealth, in a location near the historic Port Talbot steel works.

Common Wealth make site-specific theatre events that encompass electronic sound, new writing, visual design and often deploys verbatim techniques to address contemporary politics and concerns of our times. Their work is staged in locations that are right at the heart of communities and aim to engage people who might not usually think theatre is for them.

Mae swydd y Cyfarwyddwr Newydd yn gyfle i artistiaid sydd â diddordeb mewn gweithio’n agos ag artistiaid/cyfarwyddwyr arweiniol a mwy profiadol, gan gael profiad uniongyrchol o’u harfer a gwybodaeth am y prosesau creadigol sydd ynghlwm wrth wneud un o’n prif gynyrchiadau. Bydd y rôl hon yn rhan allweddol o’r tîm creadigol ac yn gofyn am fod yn bresennol yn ystod ymarferion, wythnos y cynhyrchiad a pherfformiadau.

Rydym yn dymuno penodi Cyfarwyddwr Newydd ar gyfer cynhyrchiad sydd ar y gweill gyda Common Wealth - We’re Still Here; gan weithio ochr yn ochr â’r cyd-gyfarwyddwyr artistig Evie Manning a Rhiannon White.

Bydd hwn yn gynhyrchiad unigryw, wedi’i ysgrifennu gan Rachel Trezise a’i gyd-gynhyrchu gan Common Wealth, mewn lleoliad ger gweithfeydd dur hanesyddol Port Talbot.

Mae Common Wealth yn gwneud digwyddiadau theatr safle-benodol sy’n cynnwys sain electronig, ysgrifennu newydd, dylunio gweledol ac yn aml yn defnyddio technegau verbatim i fynd i’r afael â gwleidyddiaeth gyfoes a phryderon ein hoes. Mae eu gwaith yn cael ei lwyfannu mewn lleoliadau sydd wrth wraidd cymunedau ac yn anelu at ymgysylltu pobl sydd efallai yn meddwl fel arfer nad yw theatr yn rhywbeth iddynt hwy.

Bydd NTW yn ymdrechu i helpu i ddod o hyd i’r atebion gorau o ran teithio a llety os nad ydych yn byw’n lleol.

Mae’r cyfle hwn yn agored i artistiaid o unrhyw oed, rhyw, ethnigrwydd, tueddfryd rhywiol a statws anabledd. Byddwn yn ymdrechu i wneud unrhyw ddarpariaethau gofynnol, yn y cyfweliad ac yn y gwaith, i sicrhau bod gan bawb fynediad cyfartal i’r cyfle hwn. Os hoffech drafod eich anghenion, mae croeso i chi gysylltu.
