We are about to set sail, leaving the comfort and security of land, to embark on a journey that will bring 6 artists together to sail a yacht and share experiences over two days in the Bristol Channel. Cabin Fervour is a journey into uncharted territory for us all in terms of relationships to each other and our environment. We have never met, and currently hold only the knowledge that we are each an artist. Differing practices and personalities are about to live together, at sea for two days. Nobody can walk away. This will be an intimate time, where we share new experiences together and learn how to work together to sail our boat away from, and safely back to the haven of Swansea. Conversations around practice will mix with seamanship, teamwork and personal reflection as we discover together the excitement, trepidation, thrill and wonder of a journey at sea.

Tuesday morning at 07:00 the crew will meet for the first time and discover their shipmates outside the historic sailors' haunt 'The Queens Hotel' in Swansea Marina, before walking past the old seamen's mission - The Mission Gallery - to board our yacht 'Rainbow Seeker' for the subsequent adventure.

We will be filming, photographing, recording and drawing our journey, some of which will be shared online, more of which will hopefully be used in a future representation of events at sea...
