Hi all,

I just wanted to share with you all a really exciting opportunity from National Theatre Wales and Watershed:

Watershed and National Theatre Wales are looking for 12 brilliant creative Digital Producers, to take part in Wales’ very first Digital Producers Lab development programme, produced by Watershed.

Supported by Arts Council Wales, this programme offers the unique opportunity to undertake personal and professional development through skills swapping, networking and knowledge exchange. It will include a Meet up and Ideas Day at National Theatre Wales in Cardiff, followed by the chance to spend a week working with peers at Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio in Bristol.

Participants will explore different aspects of creative technology production including: how to develop brilliant ideas, project management, making business sustainable, Intellectual Property, and pitching to clients and funders. They will also have the chance to unpick a host of best practice case studies and dabble in a little creative tech development of their own.

We are looking for producers from across art forms interested in broadening their networks, sharing skills and producing Wales’ digital cultural talent. We hope to find a mix of established and emerging practitioners with strong track records or strong ambition to deliver brilliant, innovative work. Producers interesting in applying must be Welsh or based in Wales, with an open, generous, curious and entrepreneurial approach.

Selected participants will receive a bursary towards the cost of travel, accommodation and expenses, as well as a programme of activities delivered by Watershed and National Theatre Wales.

For more information about the opportunity, or to download application forms, please head on over to Watershed's site: wshd.to/producers

Please note there has been an amendment to the initial programme dates. The 5-day lab in Bristol was originally scheduled for the week commencing 28th October 2013. As this is the half-term week in Wales, we have amended the dates to enable those with families the opportunity to participate. The 5-day lab will now take place the week commencing 4th November 2013.

Do get in touch if this raises any issues!

Hi All,

Apologies for the delay, I've been on Annual leave! We've been able to move the course dates back a week to accommodate you all! We're now looking at 4th - 8th November.  Hope that suits you all better!

Hi Katherine, you said you'd "look into" Tom's comment, which a couple of us also picked up on, any feedback?

Same half-term single-parent issue for me, any other time I'd jump at the opportunity like a shot

Yes, it would be more helpful another week. It's half term in Pembrokeshire.  Thank you.

Thanks for pointing this out, Tom. I'll look into it for you.

Hi Katherine, this looks fab and I'd love to come, but it's running it over the week of <at least some> Welsh schools' half terms! That makes it really difficult for anyone who's a parent, and nigh on impossible for those of us who are single parents :(
