After a night shaken about by the wind and a dawn chorus of evil seagulls on the roof, we beat an early retreat from the caravan park in search of a hot breakfast and a wireless connection.

After the disappointment of the Victoria Pier we didn't want to leave north Wales without a visit to Llandudno and the promise of a fully working pier. We were not disappointed. It's in immaculate condition and the glistening silvery towers inspired us to dream up a performative intervention incorporating the numerous kiosk’s positioned along its spine. The extended season at the resort makes the likelihod of permission complicated but still worth further evaluation.

Homeward bound, we snaked down the A470 accompanied by Dusty’s
“I don’t know what to do with myself".

I think that we do indeed know what to do and head for our 5.00 rendezvous at the NTW office.

5.30 is a bit much isn't it - or maybe they heard about your roadtrip for NTW & were keen to audition for a starring role!!

Agree, it is a pity that the Penarth pavillion (which used to be such a focus for shows/dances) has fallen into decline ...

the seagulls started their dawn chorus with accompanying stomp on the roof at about 5.30am - kinda puts you off them!
actually, penarth could do with a refurb a la llandudo, the lovely pavillion at the entrance is in a bit of a sorry state inside.

Still loving the pics, but sad to hear you've turned against the seagulls! ;-)

And is it just me, or does Llandudno pier look the spitting image of the one at Penarth - same blueprint from a bygone era I guess ...
