Freelance arts marketing professional required for Welsh tour of JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS.

Blackwood Miners’ Institute and RCT Theatres require the services of a creative, experienced, and highly effective arts marketing specialist to support the tour of JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS, a new version of the classic legend adapted by Mark Williams, and directed by Julia Thomas.

This new version draws on the traditional interpretation of the ancient myth, but also takes influence from other stories that have been inspired the tale – including Marvel Comics, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, and is being billed as a blockbuster theatre experience for family audiences.

The production will tour 11 venues in Wales from 7th - 26th April 2017. 

Fee

A Fixed fee of £2,000 is being offered (inclusive of any expenses, income tax, NI deductions or VAT).  Applications are welcome from self-employed individuals or from organisations.

Brief

  • To create and implement a marketing campaign plan for the tour; to identify existing and potential audience and methods to reach them, in order to maximise income and public engagement. 

 

  • To support all venues included on the tour with their local media work.

 

  • Create and/or commission appropriate original content for social and digital media; print; marketing copy; direct mail; website content.

 

  • Monitor performance of venue marketing activities and report to the producers the progress of financial and attendance targets.

 

  • Organising VIP, press, and media attendance and coverage for the opening performance at the Park & Dare, Treorchy on Friday 7th April.

 

  • To provide an evaluation of the production’s marketing activities and contribute to a debrief.

 

  • Experience in marketing family and children’s theatre, and an understanding of regional venue’s marketing needs are preferred.
