2011 Tanja Liedtke Fellowship. The Fellowship is being offered by the Tanja Liedtke Foundation, by competitive selection, to a European dancer/choreographer between the ages of 20 and 35.

The 2009 Tanja Liedtke Fellowship saw Australian dancer/choreographer Antony Hamilton spend 7 weeks in Berlin where he developed a new work of his own, worked (and networked) with German based artists, and experienced just about everything Berlin had to offer artistically and culturally. The work that Antony developed while in Berlin, Black Project 1 has current interest from both national and international presenters.
The 2011 Fellowship is offering a reciprocal set of opportunities to a European dance artist and takes place between 15 March and 30 April 2011. It offers:

A creative residency at Arts House, Melbourne,
Attendance at Dance Massive Melbourne and
Participation in a new work development led by Lucy Guerin. (a collaboration with Company B Belvoir to be conducted in Sydney).

The Fellowship covers travel, accommodation, salary, tickets to Dance Massive Melbourne, and more…

Closing date for applications is 17 September 2010.
All in all it’s a tremendous opportunity for an adventurous artist to engage in international exchange and a very unique professional development experience. They will create work, network, experience new works from Australian contemporary dance artists, and have the chance to contribute to the Australian contemporary dance scene. The Fellowship reflects the central purpose of the Foundation – to work for the advancement and enrichment of contemporary dance theatre, and simultaneously development of Australian/European artistic connections.
