In June 2014, James Tyson (Intangible Studio) is directing a new International Performance Festival in Cardiff, at Chapter Arts Centre and around the city. The festival will provide an opportunity to engage with artists whose works in some way extend notions of the possibilities of art, as developed from a sense of place, social change or community. From February, James will lead a weekly workshop/discussion/study group for local practitioners, artists, audiences and students to explore some of the ideas of the festival, as well as try out or observe potential models for making work, whether individually or collaboratively.
