Life in a Small-Scale Theatre Company...

We opened our latest show, On Scarborough Front, this week in Cefn Hengoed School, Swansea, and have performed all over the county and in a few theatres too. Stuart Fortey, the author, has done a great job at presenting a very human story of two men in the face of war coming to terms with their responsibilities and fears, and the students have responded really well to it (I even overheard one saying 'I think I might have cried at the end'). Performing in schools is so important, especially now that cuts and demands are making external activities so difficult. Moreover, we never cease to be impressed by young people's perceptive and critical qualities; these people are the theatre audiences of the future and very often they can teach the audiences of now a thing or two as well. Thanks for having us.
