Looking for some extras and stage hands for a show next week!

We are still looking for some extras and stage hands to volunteer for a one-off performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama on Wednesday 13 February.

Steal Away is a musical theatre piece written and directed by jazz singer Brigida Melly and featuring musicians from the RWCMD jazz, acting and theatre design courses as well as professional actors and musicians.

As extras you will be involved in crowd scenes depicting a Jazz club in the 1930s and 40s. We are mainly looking for people to play audience members aged 18+. You might be cast as a gangster in which case you would be featuring in a short mime scene.

Stage hands will mainly be required to move tables and chairs on and off stage.

We have a fairly intense rehearsal schedule now until the performance and you must be able to commit to attend rehearsals at the following times:

Thursday 7 February 18:00 - 21:30

Friday 8 February 18:30 - 21:30

Saturday 9 February 14:15 - 18:15

Tuesday 12 February 18:00 - 21:00

Wednesday 13 February arrive 14:15; Performance 19:30

You might also be required a separate costume fitting, although we try to get most of that done during rehearsal times.

If you are interested in being part of this exciting project please contact either myself or Brigida directly at
