Hazel Anderson - 1800hrs

I'm a theatre maker, performer and clown. My work to date has been big, bold, playful and colourful. It’s focused on finding the fantastical in the everyday.  In most of my work the audience/performer relationship is central.  For the past 4 years I've toured the world with a solo clown/circus show and toured throughout wales with theatre company Likely Story. In the past year I’ve journeyed from making work that tells a pre-existing story to wanting to tell much more personal stories of courage and fear.  I have fallen in to an exploration about what it means to be a woman in this body of mine. The impact the media has on our notion of beauty, how that insipidly seeps inside our thoughts and feelings and my own journey to finding my own inner self worth. I'm also working on a new project for a family audience which at its heart explores the idea of fear as a super power.
