Mess Up The Mess are looking for Volunteer Board Members to join its Board of Directors.

Mess Up The Mess is a professional youth theatre company, based in Ammanford, but working across South Wales. Since 2005, Mess Up the Mess has been working with the hardest to reach young people in our communities, using theatre and the arts as powerful tools to engage and empower them to make their voices heard. From small scale issues based workshops and preparation for work training to large scale projects which address difficult issues confronting young people today, Mess Up The Mess challenges young people to believe in themselves and their ability to make their world a better place.

We’re at an exciting time in our development: investigating new income streams and ways of working whilst seeking to build on our recent successes and rolling them out to reach even more young people. We need new Board Members to bring experience, skill and their enthusiasm to help achieve our aims.

We’re looking for Board Members who can support the organisation to become more sustainable, bring fresh perspectives and challenge where appropriate. In particular, we’re looking to add the following features to our Board:

  • Finance and / or legal skills / experience
  • Knowledge and connections with the local or regional business community
  • Community and / or local government experience
  • Marketing and communications skills
  • Fundraising and sponsorship experience
  • Strategic planning and development
  • Knowledge and experience of the arts and cultural industries in Wales

Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are committed to improving young people’s futures and enthusiastic about the potential the creative arts offers them to flourish.

To find out more about becoming a member of our Board of Directors, please email us at info@messupthemess.co.uk.

Mae Mess Up The Mess yn chwilio am Aelodau Bwrdd Gwirfoddol i ymuno â’i Fwrdd Cyfarwyddwyr.

Cwmni theatr ieuenctid proffesiynol yw Mess Up The Mess, ac mae wedi’i leoli yn Rhydaman, ond mae’n gweithio ar draws De Cymru. Ers 2005, mae Mess Up the Mess wedi bod yn gweithio gyda’r bobl ifanc anoddaf eu cyrraedd yn ein cymunedau, gan ddefnyddio theatr a’r celfyddydau fel offerynnau pwerus i ymgysylltu â nhw a’u grymuso i sicrhau bod pobl yn clywed eu lleisiau. O weithdai graddfa fach sy’n seiliedig ar faterion penodol a hyfforddiant paratoi at waith, i brosiectau graddfa fawr sy’n rhoi sylw i faterion anodd y mae pobl ifanc yn eu hwynebu heddiw, mae Mess Up The Mess yn herio pobl ifanc i gredu ynddyn nhw’u hunain ac yn eu gallu i wneud eu byd yn lle gwell.

Rydyn ni mewn cyfnod cyffrous yn ein datblygiad: yn ymchwilio i ffrydiau incwm newydd a ffyrdd newydd o weithio tra’n ceisio adeiladu ar ein llwyddiant diweddar ac estyn hyn allan i gynnwys mwy o bobl ifanc eto. Rydyn ni angen Aelodau newydd ar gyfer ein Bwrdd, i ddefnyddio’u profiad, eu sgiliau a’u brwdfrydedd i’n helpu i gyflawni’n nod.

Rydyn ni’n edrych am Aelodau Bwrdd sy’n gallu cefnogi’r mudiad i ddod yn fwy cynaliadwy, cyflwyno persbectifau newydd a heriau newydd ble’n briodol. Yn benodol, rydyn ni’n edrych ar ychwanegu’r nodweddion canlynol at ein Bwrdd:

  • Sgiliau / profiad mewn cyllid a/neu’r gyfraith
  • Gwybodaeth o’r gymuned fusnes ranbarthol neu leol a chysylltiadau â hi
  • Profiad o’r gymuned a / neu lywodraeth leol
  • Sgiliau marchnata a chyfathrebu
  • Profiad o godi arian a nawdd
  • Cynllunio a datblygiad strategol
  • Gwybodaeth o’r celfyddydau a diwydiannau creadigol yng Nghymru, a phrofiad ohonynt

Ac, yn anad dim, rydyn ni’n chwilio am bobl sydd wedi ymrwymo i wella dyfodol pobl ifanc ac sy’n frwdfrydig ynghylch y potensial y mae’r celfyddydau creadigol yn ei gynnig iddyn nhw i flodeuo.

I ddarganfod mwy ac i ddod yn aelod o’n Bwrdd Cyfarwyddwyr, da chi e-bostiwch ni ar info@messupthemess.co.uk.
