My Secret Heart is an inspirational production, which visits Taliesin for its Welsh premiere, and only appearance in Wales to date, on Friday 20th November (7.30pm & 8.30pm), before continuing a world tour which includes New York, Tokyo and Sydney. It is a groundbreaking music and film installation commissioned by Streetwise Opera Company; an award-winning charity who use music as a tool to help people who have experienced homelessness to move forward in their lives.

The piece is inspired by Allegri’s 17th Century choral work Miserere Mei. It exists as a seamless 360-degree screen, using the innovative techniques of Flat-e, featuring Streetwise performers in leaping silhouettes. Added to this, leading composer Mira Calix uses recordings of 100+ Streetwise performers singing Gregorio Allegri’s 17th century piece. She combines these with strings and electronics to create a haunting and awe-inspiring soundscape. Surround sound devised by sound designer, Dave Sheppard allows you to immerse yourself in an audio visual performance.

Tickets are available on 01792 60 20 60 at just £5 each for either of two performances starting at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on the 20th. An inspiring piece not to be missed.
