Hello to anybody reading my blog.

My name is Loui Milne, my middle name is Joe. I come from Bangor (Gwynedd). The little windy city. It's alright there, just not much going on. Everyone seems to be passing on through, whether it be them going to Uni or on their holidays. But all in all, it's not a bad place. It just needs some money putting in to make the locals happy. Now, I live in Wrexham. Again, it's pretty usual. It’s central to getting around to the rest of Wales I have found. Approaching winter now, and it’s biting fast. The cold is creeping up. I hope it snows here. I like the snow. Any who, enough about me rambling on about where I live/lived. I assume you want to know why I am writing this blog.

So, A bit about me. I first found out about NTW back in 2012, (when I still lived in Bangor). I was volunteering with a group called BYG's (Bangor Youth Group). We won a vote to have NTW come up north and do a Super Assembly. They came up for a month, if I remember right. They got involved with the local kids in the area and put on a performance debate. It was very successful, and left quite an impact on the local kids. After it was all wrapped up, they wanted to do something theatrical, but it never came to be – or should I say it's pending? That was my first experience with NTW. Later, I moved away to Wrexham in 2014. This year, I received an email from them advertising 'News and Opportunities'. It got my attention. So, I opened it up, and saw the Skill Swap sessions being advertised. I had a look. I was curious, I must say. I dropped them an email, and was invited along. I joined TEAM online, and attended three sessions. The first one I attended was in Swansea, the second was Cardiff, and the latest was in Bangor. I really enjoyed them and I think they are a great idea, which have great results. I just hope they keep running them for years to come. I know I'd keep going to them.

So, just before the last session, I attended an interview to do with a role with NTW, The TEAM Panel. It was held in Cardiff. It went pretty well. The panel doing the interview were a nice set of people. I had the interview and then got the train home – all on the same day as traveling down from Wrexham! It was worth it when I received my email informing me I’d been successful. I was excited! Now, I’m really looking forward to getting involved and doing all I can to bring joy to people all ends and corners of Wales, and to contribute what I can to help everything grow. Onwards and upwards!

A bit about my hobbies to follow now: in my spare time I play guitar and teach it when I can find students. It's something I enjoy doing. I am currently also working on a couple of music pieces. They’re under wraps at the moment, but will be made known soon. I also enjoy discovering new places and, seeking the answers to new and interesting things which grab my attention. An example which bothers me to this day is why ‘chicken’ is spelled “chick-en”, but is pronounced “chick-in”… I could write a list of all the things that interest me, but truth is I'll be here for a very long time. So, here are five!

1, Guitars

2, Guitar Amps

3, Guitar Tones

4, Guitarists

5, Guitars again.

Apart from those things, I’m open to most things, minus football…

If you're interested in music, especially playing guitar, you should definitely get in touch!

Your new TEAM Panel member, Loui Milne.
