NTW07 Love Steals Us from Loneliness....... in the land of stage management

Hello everyone!

Elise has been doing so well at keep you updated via blogs, I felt a bit guilty so I thought I'd better introduce myself as well.....hiya I'm Sarah, the deputy stage manager on Love Steals Us from Loneliness.

It's so lovely to be back at NTW with so many friendly faces. (I worked on A Good Night Out in the Valleys).

There has been lots to do over the last two and a half weeks, mainly scheduling in our many activities in rehearsals, organising rehearsal spaces as we spend three days in Cardiff and two at Bridgend and generally being quite busy. I realised yesterday when John asked me to introduce myself to the groups at Bridgend College and I started to outline the many jobs of a DSM, that there is quite a lot to this job. Thankfully I have the wonderful Brenda (Stage Manager) and Charlotte (Assistant Stage Manager) who make my life a lot easier in every way possible! Not forgetting Elise who keeps an eye on lines for the cast among many other tasks.

The cast did their first run through of the play today with a bit of an audience and they were all brilliant! I honestly don't know how they do it, I keep on asked how it's possible to learn that many lines as well as remembering everything else - I think my brain would either explode or implode.

Anywho it's an early start tomorrow for a bit of vocal coaching, then off to Bridgend College in the afternoon. So I will love you and leave you.

Sarah xx
