Paul Jenkins is another of our five writers for Friday’s fundraiser: Parallel Lines: Rapid Response. Paul is a bit of a cheeky chappy, this is what he sent us for his bio:

“I was one of the runners-up in the Wales Drama Award so I was very keen to see if I was able to write something better than Kath this time ;)”

Paul on his rapid response piece:

“I really enjoyed the themes Parallel Lines explored and having been disappointed with some attempts at exploring male sexuality (usually pathologized e.g. ‘Shame’) I thought I’d like to respond to this aspect and juxtapose it with political perspectives. I have no idea if that’s what the piece ends up doing! It’s a little bit of an experiment … which is what is great about a rapid response.”

After the Parallel Lines performance this Friday, Dirty Protest are holding a fundraiser: Parallel Lines: Rapid Response. Dirty Protest like to cram new writing into all the time and space they can get their Dirty paws on. They have sent five writers to see Katherine Chandler's award winning play, Parallel Lines, and gave them less than a week to pen their responses.
