A ticketed event bringing together a day of brilliant thinking from renowned speakers from the UK and internationally that explore the theory, practice and importance of playful and creative approaches to what we make and do.  Previous speakers have included Alice TaylorMatt LockeDave SharpDan Dixon and Dr Gareth Loudon.

Day 2 – Festival Games – Saturday 2nd November
A free full day of interactive street games, pervasive games, digital games and theatrical immersive experiences which will feature two ticketed headline events. These will include drop in games designed for adults and families.  We will be offering nine creative companies bursaries to bring their games to the festival. Places will be through application, details of which will be announced soon.

play:DO week – 28th October – 2nd November
In the run up to the festival we will be running a hack week where digital tech and creatives can come together and experiment to create an exciting collaboration that will be showcased during the festival. This will be an unique opportunity for creatives and technical bods to come together and work on a project that could be moved forward after the hack week is completed. Participants will share their thoughts at the festival talks and test run their project at the games day.  Participation to the play:DO week will be by application only and we will be providing funded places for six individuals to take part. Details of application will be released shortly.
