For me the WalesLab Pollinate summer camp was a wonderful success. Its been a few days since I arrived home from summer camp and since then I feel quite revitalised. In those two weeks I met some really amazing people and had an absolutely wonderful time working with them all in different ways. As I was the only sound based artist there I felt I had a place and a role, and the role was utilised well.

I set myself a goal to write a whole album about the experience on a day to day basis to chronicle the creative journey I had up there. I wrote music to poetry by a gentlemanly man called Phill, worked with a movement based artist named Rebecca on a live improvised performance, had my music used for another dance piece by Jessica Williams and Laura Fay Thomas, had the same music used in a film by Tom Booth and Sam Irving, helped people out by simply chatting to them (and had help in return) and finally finished the audio diary.

Along with this I had moving times in a burial chamber, saw a great piece of theatre by Huw Hughes, recorded wind turbines (They're huge up close by the way), attempted to record puffins on the south stack but got a lot of wind, saw some chickens, ate lots of food, talked ALOT and had some brilliant nights with some brilliant people.

The best part of this two weeks was the reset button that it pushed in my head. I can genuinely say that it has changed me and I'm trying very hard not to fall back in to old habits as I like this change. I hope to work with all of the people in the future and I would strongly encourage anyone to go next year.

Thanks a lot to Matt, Simon and Laura (Dutch Muscle) for all their tireless efforts at keeping it going, and thanks to Anna for letting me know about this opportunity. Also thanks to Sarah for helping me out when I first stepped in to the NTW office and thanks to everyone who was stuck with me for two weeks for being great.

As a gift to all of you and a big thank you the album is finally done and you can all get it from soundcloud for nothing and do whatever you like with it. I hope you like it as much as I do and go on a nice journey listening to it. all of the sounds in the compositions are from field recordings made on the day and most of it was written on summer camp itself.

Thanks again and hope to see you all again soon,

Big love to you all!

Turra now!
