Welsh Independent Dance is delighted to announce that Bert Van Gorp & Diana Paine Myers will lead a weekend of professional development training.

‘One for the Road’ is a theatre/dance workshop for professional dancers and actors who are 45 and over and are familiar with dance and/or the spoken word on stage in performance.

An ever older growing dance community needs to have role models; DIANA PAINE MYERS, 84 years old with a MBE for services in dance and still dancing and performing today will be part of this experience.

The 2 day workshop will culminate with a sharing and be built up of 3 chapters:
• rule games (continuously evolving)
• dance and storytelling improvisation
• and 1 fixed sequence, built up out of Saturday morning dance material

This workshop will be held in the Chapter Studio on 10th and 11th April 2010 with a sharing on Sunday at 4.30pm. You will need to bring city clothes for the showing.
